Hawaiian Lomi Salmon

Hawaiian Lomi Salmon is a traditional dish that holds a special place in Hawaiian cuisine. Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb fresh skinless salmon
  • 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 small sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • (Hawaiian) sea salt

Instructions

Salt the salmon

1. Clean and pat dry the salmon.

2. Rub (Hawaiian) sea salt all over all sides of the salmon.

3. Wrap the salted salmon in plastic and put it on a plate.

4. Place it into the fridge for two days.

5. Wash the salmon and soak it in a bowl of cold water for an hour.

6. Drain, pat dry, and chop it into bite-size pieces.

Mix all together

In a large BOWL, add all ingredients, except salt!

Gently knead until well mixed.
